....And A Little About Dave
David A. Taylor graduated from Michigan State University, College of Communication Arts and Sciences with his Bachelor's Degree in 1971. Together with his wife, Jeanne, he left the cold of Michigan in the winter of 1972 and headed to Florida. He worked as a Sailmaker for a time, learned to sail, and eventually joined his wife, after mentoring under a Master Potter, in her clay studio in the summer of 1973. He found an outlet of creativity he never thought he would enjoy.
Together they entered Art Festivals throughout the Southeast and Michigan, producing thousands of pieces of sculpture and pottery, both Raku and Stoneware. Dave has studied pottery, paper-making, basket-making, wood-working, tile-laying, remodeling, and acquired a wide variety of other life-skills, all in preparation for this adventure into becoming an Aurastone Distributor and opening the Tampa Bay Centre for Creative Finishes. Did you notice, Dave likes to fish?
